At risk of not getting what you want: a caution about using only 'Rapid Appraisal' surveys to assess Bible translation needs
Abstract
This paper assesses the validity of Rapid Appraisal surveys using the Yaawo context of Mozambique as a case study and cautions against their use in isolation. A more comprehensive survey alternative is proposed that, though involving more time and resources, will result in more appropriate responses to actual translation needs.
