Peter has an MA in Missiology with a focus on Scripture Engagement. He serves as a researcher, trainer, and consultant in Scripture Use and Impact with Eurasia, IMS and the Global Diaspora Services. In over 28 years with Wycliffe and SIL he has also served in communications and public relations.
Finding (hidden) Diaspora for the purposes of Bible Translation and Scripture Engagement
Abstract
Many minority language groups are not limited to one location. Working with SIL’s Global Diaspora team, this paper explores identifying languages spoken in diaspora communities and finding possible speakers of a language, and how this data can benefit Bible translation and scripture engagement planning.
