She holds a Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry in Leadership from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Her doctoral thesis includes oral strategies for leadership training in oral societies.

Abstract
According to communication theory, the biblical message must yield enough contextual effects for the hearer to process information completely without unnecessary effort. The spoken or mouthed message was a universal practice in the ancient world. This paper argues that this wider communication context should be reaffirmed in modern translation and scripture engagement.
