Succor for Old Testament Translators
Abstract
Old Testament translators face a slightly different set of concerns than New Testament translators with respect to textual issues. Help seems to be on the way. Volumes of Biblia Hebraica Quinta have been making their appearance for the past 17 years. And 6 years ago the book of Proverbs in The Hebrew Bible: A Critical Edition was published. This study takes a selective look from a layman's point of view at how these editions can be helpful.
